Entry Requirements for Admission
Bachelor Intakes and Admission
AIM follows the entry requirements of the Uganda National Council for Higher Education. The minimum entry requirements for admission to the Bachelor Program in Music are :
1) Intakes : Once a year in August
a) The direct entry scheme: all the applicants shall satisfy the requirements:
i) At least two principal passes plus two subsidiary passes and Music at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent.
ii) AIM Application Form
iii) A One-Page Personal Statement Essay
iv) Two Recommendation Letters from Church, School, or Community Leader
v) Pass of the Entrance audition
vi) A photocopy of National ID
vii) Two passport photos
b) The mature performance entry scheme: Since AIM as art institution is to value the positive impact that performing musicians of different styles make in the society, it grants admissions to those outstanding musicians who are already working as instructors in schools and would like to become trained teachers, in addition to the pass of the mature entry exams of the qualified institutions.
Diploma Intakes and Admission
The Admissions Committee selects students based on their performances at the auditions with the academic qualifications.

Requirements for Admission

a. The direct entry scheme: all the applicants shall satisfy the requirements:
i) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)
ii) At least one principal pass plus two subsidiary passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent.
iii) AIM Application Form
iv) A One-Page Personal Statement Essay
v) Two Recommendation Letters from Church, School, or Community Leader
vi) Pass of the Entrance audition vii) A photocopy of National ID
viii) Two passport photos
b) The mature performance entry scheme: Since AIM as art institution is to value the positive impact that performing musicians of different styles make in the society, it grants admissions to those outstanding musicians with the evaluation of the AIM admission jury committee, in addition to the pass of the mature entry exams of the qualified institutions.
Certificate Admission Requirements
The Admissions Committee selects students based on their performances at the auditions with the academic qualifications.
Intakes: Two times a year in August and January
i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 3 passes or its equivalent
ii) AIM Application Form
iii) A One-Page Personal Statement Essay
iv) Two Recommendation Letters from Church, School, or Community Leader
v) Pass the Aural Interview
vi) A photocopy of National ID
vii) Two passport photos
